2 Fer

A specialty beer store (ahem, craft beer emporium) opened a few weeks ago. I went on my lunch break last week to check it out. It had a moderate selection, but not what I was specifically looking for. Fullers ESB is someone in our households All Time Favorite Beer (hint: it's not me or the dog). They didn't have it so I was less than impressed. But! The did have Kalik---the beer of the Bahamas! We went there in April and it was magical! We drank it on our own private steps carved out of coral leading to the ocean. We drank it with conch ceviche. We drank it with cheese and crackers. We drank it after biking 13 miles to the beach on child sized Huffy bikes (Not. Fun. At. All. But the beach was incredible.) So, naturally, for a cheap trip down memory lane, I purchased a six pack. I also purchased some lambic beer that came with a free (!) glass! Fun fact about lambics: they are left open to collect the natural and wild yeasts that only exist in Germany. Lambics FTW. That fun fact brought to you by my food genius chef husband. Husband FTW! So delicious. I saved the raspberry for this weekend. I'm excited.
