Tuesday

There are some things that I'm pretty certain may only be a placebo, but I still adhere to the belief that they work religiously because they not work, you know? Such is the case with my Clinique all about eyes serum. I leave it at my desk because fluorescent lighting is a harsh mistress, and my eyes perpetually are baggy and puffy and generally lined and ancient looking. Attractive, I know. I haven't noticed a difference since using this stuff, but I haven't noticed I'm looking worse. So a standstill, a halting if you will, of aging eyes is something I'll consider a minor success. Also the little metal ball feels so good against my hot aged eyes after a rough night/morning/day/life.

Since becoming extra sick this summer I have noticed that my eyes were the first thing to start showing the stress my body was under. As I am still under stress, they still look ancient. "Windows of the soul" and all that.
